Adrenal fatigue syndrome?
Have any of you been diagnosed and treated for Adrenal fatigue syndrome? I’m looking for a Dr. in the St. Louis area who could tell me if I have it and what the cures are. What are the treatments? What are the symptoms you had?
I don’t know of any doctors in St. Louis area since I’m a New Yorker. Adrenal fatigue syndrome is where you’re fatigued more than usual. In it’s early stage, you ignore it, thinking you’re just exhausted from a hard day’s work although you’ll notice that your energy level is decreased by 1-2hrs from your usual daily activity. When it gets progressively worse, you run out of energy after doing 4-8hrs of your daily activity and you feel like you want to sleep to recharge yourself. You may also notice you’re sick more often as well.
There are numerous ways to treat this, the most important step is to eat a healthy well balanced diet. Many processed foods, fast foods, and junk foods are loaded with chemicals and toxins that are harmful to the adrenal glands, those foods also lack the important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrition that are important to support the adrenal glands. Start eating more fresh fruits and veggies. Make sure you include more Omega-3, a lot of water, and magnesium. Avoid all sugar, transfats, soda, caffeine, and numerous other junk foods.
2nd thing I recommend is to see a special chiropractor. If you injured your low back, it can change the biomechanics to your spine and impinge the nerve that goes to your adrenal glands. Trust me, that’s what happened to me, and this is how I fixed my problem. Took me 3 months to beat it for good. Never had it since.
