How can I compete with healthy women in the dating arena when I am sick all the time?

I feel less attractive than I used to be after being struck down with mono/Epstein Barr Virus. I struggle now with chronic fatigue syndrome and lowered immune system. I seem to catch a new virus every week and don’t have as much energy as I used to. I had mono 2 years ago and still don’t feel the same. Healthy women always seem more attractive than sick ones. I wonder if there are any guys who will want to date me (being sick all the time) when they could have a healthy woman. I also can’t go to the Dr. because I have no health insurance and there is no real treatment for viruses or chronic fatigue syndrome anyway. I just get so jealous of healthy women because I remember how much better I felt when I was healthy and now I am sick. I used to be very confident when I was healthy but being sick all the time has lowered my confidence.

Oh sweetie, it’s not a competition. You have things to offer someone that no one else can…because there is only one you. On the days that you feel really ok, try taking up a new interest or hobby…you might even be able to join a drop-in community group where you will be meeting new people. You might even try a twice a month volunteer position - these things will help you gain confidence and feel better about yourself :-)

    You sound like such a kind person.That just has a little hiccup.You are a Beautiful Person . Don’t ever sell yourself short. Threes not one person in this world that doesn’t got something wrong with themselves. Even if there young and healthy ." No one is perfect". Don’t worry about what they do or how they look . U just worry about keeping yourself healthy and happy! That’ s what matters! Remember, "You are a beautiful person"! Don’t ever forget that! : )
