I have been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for a very long time. What is the best medication to use ?

What is the best medicine to use in this case ?

CFS is a complex condition, with marked fatigue (which is not relieved by rest or sleep), other symptoms can include headaches, memory and concentration problems, along with many other symptoms.

At this stage there is no test to diagnose CFS, usually doctors will do a large sum of tests, to rule out diabetes, MS Lupus etc, which have symptoms that overlap with CFS. To be diagnosed as having CFS one needs to have unrelenting fatigue etc for more than 6 months.

Unfortunately there is no known cure to CFS, however some people have found dietary changes and supplements have helped, doctors can prescribe medication to help with sleep disturbances, and pain.

What I found to help was, learn as much about CFS, relax and rest when and where I can, pace myself, limiting my work load each day, or stagger my days of work, one day on one day off. (I only work part time)

I use sleeping medication only if I have to work the next day, avoid coffee/alcohol and junk food, eat a healthy diet and ensure I drink enough fluids, dehydration can make the fatigue worse.

sorry for your problem. I saw a treatment in my country for people with this syndrome. they would lie in a bathtub of icewater for awhile and then use warm compress then icewater again. this seemed to work. try researching this treatment, hope it will help you. i believe in natural therapy because it has no side effects. i’m using traditional chinese medicine for my condition of anemia which makes me very tired after working only a short time

None, it will only prolong the problem.
CFS is "cured" by making sure you are pleasantly relaxed with a regular "winding down" routine before bedtime. The aim is to gently drift off to sleep, in a way that your muscles do not tighten up during the night, causing you bodily stress and fatigue during the day. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a name they give to this complaint so you can be sold medication.

I’ve had CFIDS since 1987 - see http://www.fms-help.com/fatigue.htm - as far as I know, there is no single "cure," medicine or supplement that helps everyone with this condition. I have a list of things I use at http://www.fms-help.com/what.htm but each of us is different. These are just things that help me stay relatively functional. I am still not a "normal" person and probably never will be. You can get lots more info about CFIDS on my homepage at http://www.fms-help.com - Best wishes from a fellow sufferer
