Sleep secrets for people with fibromyalgia ?

I have tried many prescription and herbal remedies to get some rest from the pain of fibromyalgia…does anyone have any other suggestions to get some rest ?

I suggest trying all natural Pain Relief Complex. It’s helped others with fibromyalgia and their sleeping problems. Other chronic pain remedies on the market target only one of the two pain producing enzymes. This product blocks both pain enzymes (COX-2 and 5 LOX) which is a natural product that is safe with no side effects. Aspirin and ibuprofen block only one pain enzyme, but also block the enzyme (COX-1) that protects your stomach from acid as does Celebrex and Vioxx.

You may not see results immediately since it’s not a drug but be patient and I think you’ll really be pleased.

Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me with questions.

My family uses asprin at night. It’s not perfect, but it helps some. We can’t use sleeping pills.

Also, I’ve found that a hot shower or bath before bed helps.

When mine was bad in my back, I propped myself all around with pillows so that no muscles in my back were strained at all whatsoever, and so my spine was straight even when laying on my side. It relieved a LOT of the problem.

Another thing that helped was very small doses of Amytriptalene. In regular dose it is an antidepressant or something, but in very small doses it is a WONDERFUL muscle relaxer and I slept like a log on it.

So both the pillows and the Amytriptalene helped, but with stopping strain on my back by the pillows, I was able to stop the Amytriptalene after about a month, and have never had a problem while sleeping with Fibro since then, and that was 12 years ago.

Valerian; Aleve; excedrin p.m.; Ultram (perscription), a hot bath or shower, and exercise. Also do not eat anything that has tomatoes in it as it is considered a nite shade food. Go onto the internet and do a search for nite shades foods. There is alot about it and how it affects us people w/Fibromyalgia. It really does help. I"ve found that streching really helps, u know, esp. the kind that when u just feel like stretching and yawning, that really helps take my pain away. Doing stetching exercising at night before bed has also helped me. I’ve had to do trial and error to find something that helps me, and i also work with my Rheumatologist who deals w/fibromyalgia. Also try to keep doing strengthening exercises to help keep your muscles in shape, that will also help. When we stop for the evening our bodies start hurting worse, so it’s important that we try to keep them in shape during the day, in order to help us at night.
